Bend is serviced by the Redmond Municipal Airport (RDM) with flights from United, Delta, Alaska, American, and more. Arrive by Sunday evening and try not to leave earlier than Tuesday at lunch!

RDM Airport

  • Redmond Municipal Airport (RDM) is a short 20-30 minute drive from Downtown Bend. It is the main commercial airport in Central Oregon, with nonstop scheduled passenger airline flights to several hubs in the western U.S. as well as seasonally to Chicago. American Airlines, Alaska Air, Avelo Airlines, Delta Airlines, and United Airlines service the airport with regular flights.

  • $100-$200 from Seattle

    $400-$600 from Denver

  • The RDM airport is a wonderful facility. If you get to the airport early on your departure, be sure to relax upstairs at the Avalon Aeropub. Please note we have sessions on Tuesday running until 11am.

Transportation

  • You will not need a rental car unless you really want one! Uber and Lyft provide services from Redmond Airport, but consider booking in advance with Enviro Shuttle for a safe and reliable ride. If you are traveling with a larger group you can try Sunriver Towncar & Tours for information about Large SUV or van transportation. All major rental agencies servcice RDM airport and the experience is easy.

  • $40-$100 one way between RDM and Bend

    $70-$120 per day for a rental car at RDM

  • It is recommended to make your transportation plans in advance. The rental lot is directly outside of the airport if you decide you want your own vehicle. Late pickup and early hours drop-off available.

Driving or Portland Airport

  • Bend is 8 hours from San Francisco, 6 hours from Seattle, and 3 hours from Portland. Enjoy a scenic drive across the Cascades and into the sunshine of Central Oregon. Portland International Airport (PDX) is 3 hours from Bend, but is a viable option if you want to see more of our beautiful state during your visit and don’t mind the drive, whether you choose a round trip or open jaw flight plan.

  • There are multiple routes if driving from the Seattle and please be careful on HWY 97 if you’re coming up from California. Reach out to Greg if you decide to fly in or out of Portland for tips and tricks.
